Our story

Started in 1929, Tulsa Winch, Inc. was founded by a truck salvage operator who based his original winch designs on the rear-axle gear sets of Ford Model-T trucks. In 1996, TWI joined Dover Corporation and soon began construction of a state-of-the-art plant in Jenks, Oklahoma where the company is headquartered today.

Since 1996, through strategic acquisitions of DP Winch, Greer Company and Gear Products in our Jenks, Oklahoma plant, plus Pullmaster and Lantec in our Surrey, British Columbia plant, Dover helped grow Tulsa Winch Group into a global leader in the manufacturing of winches, hoists, gear drives, and many other products—including innovative tools and technologies found on much of today’s most sophisticated equipment.
